504ward is teaming up with One Book One New Orleans for a book club meet-up happy hour, hosted at Cavan’s upstairs bar on Wednesday, February 21 from 5:30-7:30PM. This isn’t a recurring 504ward book club. They’re more acting as literary matchmakers, bringing together passionate people who want to explore the same topics — like old New Orleans fiction, contemporary fiction, nonfiction, etc. — have some smart conversation, and possibly (definitely) share a glass of wine while doing so. They will make the introductions, y’all take it from there to keep the reading groups going.
So come, meet some people, find a book that gets you excited, have a drink*, and make a night of it. Let’s ensure 2018 is a year that’s rich in friendship, conversation, and reading absolutely excellent books.
We will be on hand to sell copies of the recommended books from the 504ward reading list.
