Sign Up for Our Fiction Writing Class with Instructor Stephen Rea!

Are you interested in learning how to improve your writing? Whether your goal is to finally finish your novel and get it into bookstores, or whether you simply enjoy writing for yourself, you will find this course useful, enjoyable, and interesting.

We will look at the basics of crafting fiction such as plot and character, and we will also read and critique work brought in by authors. The course will be maxed out at 12 writers and will be flexible and informative. Writers of any age, ability, and background welcomed.

Instructor Stephen Rea, originally from Northern Ireland, has lived in New Orleans since 2004. This is the same Writing Well-Crafted Fiction course that he taught for four years with great success at the Walker Percy Center, Loyola University. He was a national newspaper journalist in the UK and is the author of Finn McCool’s Football Club, a tale set against Hurricane Katrina and centered around the Irish pub in Mid-City. Most recently he covered the 2014 World Cup for the New Orleans Advocate.
